PJ TUCKER
PJ Tucker, an on-court workhorse and off-court icon of style, exemplified our story of the revamped Air Force 1: hard-knock DNA paired with a penchant for style. In competition, PJ Tucker is both a defensive powerhouse tasked with guarding NBA superstars, and an offensive three-point weapon.
DESIGN GOALS
Through an analysis of his play style and the existing attributes of the Air Force 1, we determined the most promising areas of opportunity:

As a nod to the upgraded yet discreetly integrated tech, we chose to shroud the upper in a translucent white ripstop. Much like a sports car under a car cover, the finished product maintains its position as a style driver while boasting a souped-up engine under the hood

CONSTRUCTION
To execute our proposed plan, we removed the outsole and midsole of the shoe and replaced the EVA midsole with a proprietary cushioning unit of our own creation. This cushioning unit combines Kobe 8 Zoom technology with a high rebound foam and embedded nylon shank to deliver superior cushioning and responsiveness underfoot.
